Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine (SNTCM, 陕西中医药大学) is a provincial key TCM institution co-constructed by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (NATCM). Originating in 1952 in Xi'an as Northwest TCM Advanced Studies School, it relocated to the historic Qin dynasty capital of Xianyang in 1961, recognized in 1978 by the State Council as one of China's 8 National Key TCM Academies.
