Hubei University (HUBU, 湖北大学) was established in 1931 as Hubei Provincial College of Education, serving as the cultural and academic pillar of Hubei Province for over nine decades. Jointly developed by the Hubei Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education, HUBU is situated across three urban campuses in Wuhan (Wuchang, Yangtze River New Area, and Hankou) covering 1,500 mu.
