Chengdu University of Technology (CDUT, 成都理工大学) is a national "Double First-Class" university jointly built by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Natural Resources, and the Sichuan Provincial People's Government. Founded in 1956 as Chengdu College of Geological Exploration—one of the three founding geological institutions of the PRC—CDUT has produced more than 300,000 engineering and scientific leaders over nearly seven decades.
Located in eastern Chengdu with a coastal branch campus in Yibin, CDUT operates the State Key Laboratory of Geohazard Prevention and Geoenvironment Protection and the State Key Laboratory of Oil and Gas Reservoir Geology.
