From June 16 to June 30, 2026, the second cohort of the 2026 Chinese Government Scholarship International Summer School was successfully conducted at Harbin Medical University (HMU), welcoming medical scholars and faculty from Russia's Irkutsk State Medical University and international partners for two weeks of clinical exchange.
1. High-Fidelity Clinical Simulation Scenarios
As a pioneering highlight of the summer school, HMU's First Affiliated Hospital deployed its advanced clinical simulation center. International trainees rotated through roles as chief attending physicians, resident doctors, anesthesiologists, and specialized scrub nurses, managing high-fidelity medical manikins presenting acute cardiac arrest, emergency polytrauma, and complex internal pathology.
2. Clinical Reasoning & Standardized Case Debriefing
Under the supervision of senior chief physicians, trainees completed full-cycle clinical protocols: patient history acquisition, systematic physical examination, rapid radiographic review, and operative plan drafting. Structured debriefings after each simulation drilled critical clinical decision-making and multidisciplinary teamwork.
